Dolphin Dynamics launches new AI helper
Dolphin Dynamics launches its new AI helper, introducing intelligent automation designed to remove one of the travel industry’s many time-consuming administrative tasks: manual data entry of traveller info.
The new capability marks the first of many planned AI-powered enhancements following the unveiling of the company’s fully redesigned front-end interface, which recently went live to selected users.
Removing the need for manual rekeying, the AI helper allows users to import essential traveller information by simply copying and pasting text or tables from external sources, such as emails, spreadsheets or documents, directly into the AI helper popup. Using artificial intelligence, the system interprets and maps the unstructured data automatically to the appropriate fields within Dolphin.
The tool is designed to recognise and process data in virtually any format. For example, fields such as “DOB,” “date of birth,” or “birth date” are all understood as the same data point. Dates entered in multiple formats - including “15Jul75”, “15/07/75” or “15 July 1975” - are standardised and accurately populated in the correct date of birth field. It supports a range of traveller details, including full names, dates of birth, passport details and nationality. Significantly reducing manual data entry, minimising the risk of human error and saving valuable time.
The launch represents the first of many AI helper features planned for the Dolphin platform, with additional AI-powered tools already in development.
“In the middle of last year Dolphin took the strategic decision to embrace AI, leveraging an AI-first approach both internally and within our product functionality,” said Chuck Richardson, Managing Director for Dolphin Dynamics. “The release of this new AI helper to our customers reflects our commitment to innovating to help automate routine tasks for travel agents, tour operators and TMCs.”
