Dolphin supports wave of travel agents facing back office system sunset

Dolphin Dynamics have been actively assisting users of SABS Technology back office products since the recent announcement that those products are to be sunset this summer.

The start of the year saw a wave of Irish agents switch to Dolphin when they were faced with a mandatory move from SABS Technology’s Traveller to Quantum system. They joined a host of other former Traveller users, including leading Northeast independent travel agency Dawson & Sanderson, plus Oasis Travel in Northern Ireland and Shandon Travel in Cork. All of whom have successfully migrated to the Dolphin travel platform.

Since SABS Technology’s sudden May announcement that they are completely withdrawing from the back office market, a further ten Traveller and Quantum users have subsequently selected Dolphin. Even more are in discussions to follow suit before they lose access to their existing system. To facilitate onboarding so many customers, Dolphin have adapted their implementation process and developed a utility to help migrate booking data. Enabling Traveller and Quantum users to go live on Dolphin within weeks of signing up.

Dolphin’s Managing Director, Chuck Richardson, commented, “We are doing everything within our power to help the myriad of travel businesses affected by SABS Technology’s exit from the back office market. This includes a 50% discount on the investment to implement Dolphin and leveraging our extensive experience with Traveller migrations to minimise business disruption and enable them to move forward with a reliable technology partner.”
